NFPA Patient Portal Message
Messages can be sent through the NFPA Patient Portal. You must first be a current patient and register for the Patient Portal here. Messages from the NFPA Patient Portal are monitored and responded to during regular business hours only. You may send a Message during the night and we will be able to see it first thing in the morning and call you to make a Same Day Urgent Care Appointment for you.

Telephone Calls
The practice of medicine by telephone has the benefit of being convenient, but is no substitute for in-office evaluation. We try and make it a point to return calls throughout the day. It is best to call early if possible for a Same Day Urgent Care Appointment for you.

Answering Service
The telephone is answered outside of office hours by an answering service. This service handles many phones, and at times, when our phone is ringing they will be tied up with other calls. We ask your patience, but wish to re-emphasize that the phone is covered 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Should it remain unanswered through an inordinate number of rings, it would be best to hang up, and then try again. If still unanswered, call the Deaconess-Glover Hospital Emergency Room and they will try to find us or advise you themselves.
A doctor is on call at all times. The coverage is provided by Needham Family Practice Physicians. The answering service will refer your call to whomever is the covering Physician and the call will be returned as soon as possible. If it has not been returned within an hour, check with the answering service in case the wrong number has been sent to the doctor. |
